Theme Song

Renaissance Square, the theme song for Algonquin College's plan to build a new campus in downtown Pembroke, was written and recorded by Canadian Recording Artist and Algonquin graduate Jason Blaine.

Blaine graduated from the Business program at the Pembroke Campus in 2001 and has since gone on to a very successful career in music.  He has been a champion for the project and was thrilled to record this up beat Celtic song that caputures the excitement of the project.

The song was released on August 7, 2009 on STAR 96 Radio in Pembroke.  Watch video of the interview with Jason Blaine and STAR 96 Morning Show Host Brian Burton below. In this interview, Jason talks about how he got involved in the project and shares more information on what he was trying to capture when he wrote and recorded "Renaisssance Square," the theme song for Algonquin's Ottawa Valley new campus project.  Read Media Release.
