I Spy and Beyond
Theresa Radmore: Drawing from Inspiration
Written by Beth Cameron, Health and Community Studies
A group from Kaleidoscope 2008, starting meeting on a regular basis last Fall to make ‘I Spy’ Quilts and to learn to quilt. These lunch and learn sessions started with the trading of novelty fabrics and proceeded through to the finishing stages of putting on the binding. While some are still working on the first project, some star students have made numerous quilts since September. Believe it or not, Nancy Kohn has made 11 quilts, Ruth Edwards – 8 and Sandy McCarthy – 5, all of these ladies work in the Registrar’s Office. It is wonderful to see the passion transferred to others through teaching. Also in the group were Cathy Palmer, Elizabeth Smith, Flo Gauthier, Heather McIntosh, Kimya Keyhan, Lynn Fleming, Marnie Connelly, Micheline Reed, Nancy Tremblay, Patty Langille, Yim Warrington and the occasional curious on-looker.
