Richard Hudspith, Cat Mills This workshop will examine the effect of stress on both our bodies and minds and provide simple techniques for addressing its potentially harmful effects. Some of the questions we’ll examine will include: “What is stress?”, “What causes it?”, “When is it helpful or harmful?”, “What happens in my body when I feel stressed?”, “What steps can I take to manage and balance the stress?” Using a combination of gentle Somayog* movements and effective breathing techniques, the workshop will introduce you to tools to manage and balance stress using simple breathing techniques, improving posture and body awareness, increasing flexibility and mobility of your body, and soothing and strengthening your nervous system. NOTE: Please bring Yoga mat *Somayog is a style of yoga
