Laying it on the Line in Perth!

Put on your working clothes, hop on the bus to the Perth Campus, and join us in the masonry lab for a workshop on laying brick. We’ll provide the materials and safety glasses but you’ll have to provide the labour required to make your project plumb and level. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, we’ll feed you lunch and take you on a short walking tour of local homes and shops featuring heritage masonry and the application of the skills you’ve just learned. This session will give you a chance to explore the Heritage Institute’s living classroom -- Heritage Perth -- and exercise your creativity.

NOTE: Participants must be physically able to lift bricks, bend, and walk a few kilometers.
