Building an Inclusive Learning Community

Melissa Rowe, Jacqueline Lawrence

Our communities have become increasingly diverse due to a number of factors including an aging population, immigration, a diverse client base and talent pool, globalization, and technology. This reality is being lived acutely within educational institutions where educators and staff must develop cultural competency in order to understand and meet the increasingly diverse needs of their students. In this workshop, you will become familiar with a number of strategic levels of analysis to facilitate your commitment to building and leveraging an inclusive learning environment at Algonquin.
