Getting Around Word 2007: Ribbons Replace Lengthy Menus

On first glance the new interface of Word 2007 can be intimidating.  In fact, finding things is more intuitive than before.  Gone are the complicated menus that required you to drill down and search for simple tasks.

Adding pictures to enhance your document has never been easier.

image 1When inserting a picture into Word 2007, click the Insert tab, and then Picture on the insert ribbon.

Once your picture is on the page, editing is as simple as a double click on the picture.

Everything that you may want to do to the picture is displayed on the Picture Tools format ribbon.  Add a border, change how it aligns with the text, crop, and even change the colour of your picture.  All are made quick and simple with the new ribbon.
